Join Step Up For Mental Health in Recognition of Minority Mental Health Month and Celebrate an Evening of Talks, Diversity, and Networking.
Chicago, June 19, 2019 — Join Step Up For Mental Health in recognition of Minority Mental Health Month in July, to share our experiences and celebrate the diversity of our community.
These events are all about getting to know our community and networking on issues touching the lives of people of color. Topics can range from sharing your positive mental health tools, to the 5 signs of mental health. Is talk therapy best for our communities or does joining a peers support group work better? Work and personal stress or why Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PSTD) in the black community is on the rise? Digging into gender roles, justice and incarceration topics or just learning more about volunteering to help us expand our reach!
Please bring your thoughts and ideas, as we connect with our community and plan programs that are unique to you throughout the year.
This discussion is a meet and greet for our community around Chicagoland. We hope you can participate in this special event in the month of July.
