Ketamine Wellness Center in Naperville, IL Steps Up and Joins Step Up For Mental Health’s #GivingForward Community Event to Support Families in Need with a “Positive Play” Toy Drive
Chicago, December 10, 2020 — Join us for our annual #GivingForward Food/Swag Bag community event, where we support families in need, a homeless community, or children in Chicago. This year, we are giving 150 boxes of food (veggie/fruit combo) for families dealing with food disparities this holiday season, some tech tablets and Kindles (supplies are limited), along with school supplies like backpacks and various items such as books and toys.
We are proud to have received an in-kind donation from AmazonSmile from our Charity WishList, and now Ketamine Wellness Center in Naperville, IL has stepped up to make sure our event is even more successful. They are supporting our Step Up For Kids program with a “positive play“ toy drive and mission of STEM — and family-friendly toys by “collecting non-traditional gifts that bring families together, to harness a healthy mind.” Toys will be delivered to us in time for our December 19 event in the Hermosa/Chicago area on the Northwest side of Chicago.
“We admire the work Step Up For Mental Health® does to support families in need who have mental illness in the home,” said Deanna Frazier, Clinical Administrator for Ketamine Wellness Centers in Naperville. “
From a year of hopelessness, to new partners and local businesses such as Ketamine Wellness Center coming together to do good with Step Up For Mental Health®, we are ecstatic to give a little cheer this holiday season to families who are dealing with so much! We are so thankful we can support the Hermosa area this year, as we continue to support our targeted communities in the Westside, Northwestside, and Southside areas where families need us most!
From the beginning, Step Up For Mental Health® has believed in partnerships. We all can’t do it alone, and even more so in the time of COVID-19, we need to step up to the challenges we all face as a collective society of human beings. Poverty is nothing new, but now we see more than ever that together we can lift each other up in the time of greatest need! This is what #GivingForward is all about and we are so thankful to be able to bring a little hope at the end of 2020 to more families, thanks to Ketamine Wellness Center. — Adrienne McCue, President & Executive Director.
We also thank our new host partner the Chicago Park District for supporting our efforts in bringing more joy to families in need who are dealing with mental health-related issues such as COVID-19 and poverty during 2020.
