Step Up For Mental Health® has teamed up with #GrowWithGoogle to support the individuals and families we serve in learning key digital skills that will help them land jobs that need to be filled now and tomorrow! We are giving 500 scholarships to candidates that have the drive, to start a new job of their dreams or advance in their current role. Google Career Certificates will help you prepare for in-demand jobs in high-growth fields in under six months, and no relevant experience is required. You’ll get professional training designed by Google, along with the opportunity to connect with top employers that are currently hiring.

Step Up Training Peer Circle

Our Step Up Assistance program is simple. If you are selected for the scholarships, we will meet with you twice a month as your mentors and peers to help you reach your goals. We will run study workshops and even feature special guests from various fields who can add to the knowledge you will need to move into a higher-paying career in project management, cyber security, AI Essentials, IT support, UX design, data analytics, or Android development.

Join us as we meet twice a month as mentors, championing you as you head to the finish line. Nearly two-thirds of all new jobs created since 2010 require either high- or medium-level digital skills, but one in three American workers has very limited or no digital skills. To help bridge that gap, #GrowWithGoogle has trained more than six million Americans on digital skills to date and invested in building tools and training to help create pathways to high-quality jobs. Google Career Certificates provide job seekers with access to more than 1.3 million in-demand jobs!

What Do I Have to Do to Get a Free Scholarship?

Join us for an introductory workshop to learn more about the requirements, how to qualify for a scholarship, and how to complete the program in less than six months. We will support you in preparing, along with all the digital tools you will need to see it to the end. All we ask is that you complete the course, come to our one-hour peer-led study workshops twice a month, and study five to ten hours a week.

The community we serve: We are looking for people in marginalized groups, people living in poverty, people of color, people with disabilities, or other groups who we serve.
