Step Up For Mental Health® continues to bring you important topics that families and communities can use to have informed news about mental health. In 2022 our focus is on Youth Mental Health, and we are excited to see that the White House is focusing on mental health in youth, veterans and how it impacts families, and particularly, black, LGBTQIA+ community, and individuals in poverty.
The White House Series of Virtual Conversations in partnership with the National Institute of Mental Health (NIH) and National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDH) on the Science Behind the Mental Health Crisis will be happening all year long and we will add the videos on this page, and throughout our website on the right side as they come available.
Some of the programs throughout the year:
- Social Science Research and the Mental Health Crisis in Minority Youth and Adolescents
- The Science Behind Mental Health Conditions in Veterans (June 23, 2022)
- How Science has Offered Hope for Treatment-Resistant Depression (July 21, 2022)
- The Science Behind Alcohol Misuse as a Coping Mechanism (August 4, 2022)

How can we get involved? My daughter and I have a story people need to hear so we can help bring the injustice of the mental health and protective child services failure to light?
