CHICAGO, October 10, 2021 — Join Step Up For Mental Health for an eye-opening Red Carpet film premiere and mental health event hosted by celebrity host – Antwon Tanner. This event will help eradicate the stigma of mental illness and therapy for black and Latino men!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 28th at 5:00 PM and head over to the prestigious DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center for an evening of film, awareness, and empowerment centered on Mental Health.

PERDIDO is a 48-minute film about an African American man who reluctantly seeks therapy from an Afro-Latino therapist after suppressed memories from his past are triggered by a tragic encounter with police.

We’ll be screening an influential and groundbreaking film, PERDIDO, written and directed by Muhammad Bilal, and starring Hannaha Hall (The Chi), Harper Anthony (City of Vultures), Eric Carter (NYPD BLUE), Reggie Watkins (Grey’s Anatomy), and Fidel Vicioso (Law & Order).

The Event will also feature thought-provoking discussions and engaging panelists – Chris V Rey (International President of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc), Muhammad Bilal (Founder/CEO of Bilal World Entertainment), Tasnim Sulaiman (Founder/CEO Black Men Heal), Dr. Sheldon Jacobs (Board Member, NAMI), Tansy McNulty (Founder/CEO, 1M4), and Dr. Obari Cartman (Moderator).
