Peer Support Group: Reproductive Rights and Mental Health Discussion Series

Step Up For Mental Health’s goal is to have a safe space for topics in society that are having a toll on communities dealing with added stress, anxiety, and depression. We feel the Roe vs Wade reversal is an important topic for discussion. Please note: This is a safe space for persons who are feeling upset about the Supreme Court decision on Reproductive Rights that affects many groups of people, including, women, men, persons living in poverty, disabled persons, black and BIPOC communities, and non-binary communities that are affected by these issues.

Our goals are:

Have a private, safe space to process recent events regarding reproductive rights?

Trauma-informed peer support circle, holding space to discuss stigma, misconceptions, and coping skills.

Supported by others who experience similar challenges.

Have a safe space where we can relate to and learn from others

Anyone who can not hear from a collective of like-minded, healing spaces, will be removed from the peer support group. We have no judgment here and will be a loving, empathic space to share, talk and show emotions

This is a part of our Step Up Assistance Program and supporting community. Learn more about our local and online peer group events. This group is open, honest, and willing to share in a supportive environment. No judgment. Always kindness.

Providing Interactive Support and Services

Mental health touches a variety of groups and backgrounds. Our goal is to make life easier for all individuals and families dealing with mental health issues during stress and crisis or to have an educational experience.

We use Google Meet and can hold 100 people but most likely meetings will be between 5-25 people. Best experience using Google Chrome Browser. Check your computer audio before workshop times for the best results.

We have Closed Captioning available for all that need it.
